Mailbox Monday

mailboxesMailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

It’s mid-November already! Time sure does fly. I think there really is some truth to the theory that time accelerates as we age. It feels like it was just yesterday when spring arrived here in the north and I was planting my garden — today I was emptying rain barrels and storing my garden planters and gnomes in the shed for the winter. It was probably the last warm day of the year.

Hope everyone had a good book week. Let us know what you got (or didn’t get!) and add your Mailbox Monday post to the linky below:

Be sure to stop back here on Wednesday when I will post a selection of Books That Caught Our Eye.

  1. Hi Leslie,

I’m with you! I definitely think that time passes more quickly, the older I get!

Autumn is definitely transitioning into winter, here in the south of the UK, although it is still relatively mild – just very wet and windy!

Thanks for hosting this week and ‘Happy Reading’

    Yvonne

  2. I was participating in your meme at Silver’s Reviews and wondered why library books don’t count. She said I should ask you. So I am asking! Most of the books that come into my house come from the library, in an effort to curb my spending. Ha Ha.

    • I’m not positive of the reason — but I think it was originally started to showcase new books received in the mail as review copies. It has since expanded to include digital audio and ebooks, and books purchased at stores, library sales, and elsewhere. Plus, there was a separate meme called Library Loot.

I don’t have a problem adding library books to the mix. Anyone else? Comments?
