Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
It’s Super Bowl Sunday as I write this. Soon I’ll be sitting down to watch the commercials, the half-time show, and eat lots of snacks. I’m not much of a football fan but I do enjoy the event.
Hope everyone had a good book week. Tell us about your new books and add your Mailbox Monday post to the linky below:
Be sure to stop back here on Wednesday when I will post a selection of Books That Caught Our Eye.
Hi Leslie,
I hope that you enjoyed the Super Bowl event. I write this at a little after 5am, sat waiting for the latest storm (Immogen) to hit. This is the first one we have had down in the south for a few weeks now and it promises to be a real show. I just hope we don’t have any major power cuts, so that I can’t keep up with everyone’s lovely mailboxes this week.
Thanks for hosting this time and I hope that you have a good week 🙂
Yvonne
Thanks for stopping by and hope that power stayed on.
I ended up watching the Superbowl as well . . . made some snacks and my son and I were rooting for different teams, so light-hearted ribbing was going on 🙂 It was fun and I loved the half-time show – Bruno is a doll 🙂
Bruno was my favorite part of the half-time show but I thought they tried to do too much with too little time.
I think the halftime show was a bore until Bruno and Beyonce showed up, and even then, I was less than impressed. Lady Gaga singing the National Anthem stole the show for me. I hope you are doing well.
Same here. Halftime was disappointing compared to previous years.
