Mailbox Monday

mmb-300x282Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week.

Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy,
toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

On Wednesday I’ll be posting Books That Caught Our Eye. Serena, Leslie and I will each share 2 books that grabbed our attention from today’s Mailbox Monday post. We hope you’ll join us by posting a comment letting us know the books that caught your eye.

Be sure to stop back here on Wednesday for Books That Caught Our Eye.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend,
and that you have a wonderful 4th Of July!!

We’re going to go to my son Jeremy & Susie’s house for a cookout, & pool time if it doesn’t rain.

  1. I will hope that it doesn’t rain for you. When I lived in the Seattle area it always seemed to rain on the 4th even if it didn’t rain the whole week before or after. Now I live in the SW and don’t think we’ve ever had rain on the 4th.

      • In fact the birthday celebrations seem to have gone on for most of the weekend, although we were only involved for the one day, so I’m sure that by now she is all partied out 🙂

I’m sorry that some of you seem to have had a damp July 4th. It sounds a little like the changeable weather we have here in the UK right now. Planning an outdoor event is very hit and miss!

  2. We had rain on the 4th but we made the most of it by going to bowling and having some fun outdoors during the breaks in the rain. No outdoor fireworks for us, even though they did have them in town. We’ll probably do the one in the nearby city on Friday, since they rescheduled theirs.

    • We haven’t been bowling for years – No small kids in tow any more, means that there is no excuse to have the bumpers up on the lane edges – us adults are useless without them 🙂

Hope you managed to have fun despite the weather 🙂
