Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
This Thursday is Thanksgiving Day here in the US. Next weekend is also the official start of the holiday shopping season. I will be relaxing and reading after my dinner; no crazy shopping for me, except maybe on the internet.
How was your week? Tell us about your new books by adding your Mailbox Monday post to the linky below:
Be sure to stop back later this week for Books That Caught Our Eye.
Hi Leslie,
I totally agree with your strategy of staying away from the shops. Here in the UK, we have adopted your tradition of ‘Black Friday’ shopping, which as I understand it, was the Friday following Thanksgiving. All was going so well until this year, when things have been so bad for retail, that Black Friday has already started and is running as a much extended event!
I hope that you have some great books set aside to read and if I don’t get to speak to you again beforehand, ‘Happy Thanksgiving’ 🙂
Yvonne
Oh yes, Black Friday started early here too. Last weekend stores were having Pre-Black Friday sales. It’s crazy!
Black Friday shopping is no more for me. I can’t deal with the insanity. I’ll take online no-hassle shopping any day.
Happy Reading, Happy Thanksgiving, and Happy NO BLACK FRIDAY shopping,
I won’t go near stores on that day.
Elizabeth
I used to be a huge Black Friday shopper but I stick to online shopping now. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
My daughter has been known to do some Black Friday shopping for special gifts for the kids. Me- I’ll stick to the computer and online shopping. Happy Thanksgiving all!
