Mailbox Monday

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

I almost had a picture of a real cardinal this afternoon as he sat huddled on our bird bath. Sadly the only angle I had for a picture (without opening a door) was through the screened bathroom window so it didn’t take.

I plan to continue to enjoy visiting everyone till I return to hosting  in April. Meanwhile, I hope the weather warms up for everyone and that you continue to enjoy your reading.

Please link up your Mailbox Monday posts below:

Be sure to stop back later this week for Books That Caught Our Eye.

    • Hi Serena- Yes, I enjoy the cardinals most but I like the chickadees and doves too. I get excited when we see the woodpeckers and the rarer blue birds (not the blue jays).
      Do you have feeders too?

      • I have seven feeders, four bird baths, and several roosting boxes for them to take shelter in the cold. Plus nest boxes in the summer. I’ve had various migrants passing through in the spring and fall and the locals are here all the time, but have never seen a Bluebird in my yard.

      • at the new house we have tons of bird baths and feeders from the previous owner. I used to have just one feeder at our old house (not that much of a yard). Now I have lots of bird visitors — cardinals, woodpeckers, titmouse, blue jays, doves, finches, chicadees, and more.
