Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
My summer has already started with the divisional swim team for my daughter. She’s having a great time with her new team, even if she is a little shy. There are so many more fundraisers and social events with this team than her previous teams, but I think that builds stronger bonds between the kids … maybe even the parents. ๐ I hope everyone had a great reading week. My reading as you may have guessed as slowed considerably.
Hope everyone had a good week.
Tell us about your new books by adding your Mailbox Monday post to the linky below:
Be sure to stop back later this week for Books That Caught Our Eye.
Hi Serena,
Both of my nieces are strong swimmers and used to take part in county events for their club and town. However, both they and their parents, found the club atmosphere to be very ‘clicky’, with little sub-groups forming, who didn’t mix with the other members. Charity events seemed to ‘level the playing field’ a bit, but as they got older, my nieces made their own decision to quit the team. It’s such a shame that there are always a few who will spoil it for the many!
Reading here has been little slow lately, but I have some great new books being added to my list for later ๐
Yvonne

I’m not sure if this team is clicky yet, we’ve only just begun. Our previous swim team was not. It was neighbors bringing their kids together for friendly competition. This team is a bit more competitive through a membership pool. We’ll see how the year goes.
