This mailbox, located at the tip of an island overlooking the inlet, contains a notepad and pencil where visitors can write about their concerns of love, loss, beauty or joy.

  1. Martha, you are definitely not old enough, but I can remember a song, made a hit by many different artists, called the ‘Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days Of Summer’.

    If you are enjoying the ‘lazy, hazy’ part of summer, then I am definitely enduring the ‘crazy’ part !

  2. Ha! Yvonne – I think I am older than you and that is probably why I can’t remember what the phrase meant. I did recall the song title but didn’t really remember the words or that it was by Nat King Cole. I just looked it up. Maybe because I am not a summer gal I would rather have the other seasons. πŸ™‚ My daughter loves the beach – I’ll have to ask her about summer.
    I would enjoy lazy, hazy but since I am still working three businesses that doesn’t happen for me. I’m there with the crazy part like you. Yep – logging and books are my form of relaxation too. Thanks for sharing.
